I keep getting this error when trying to run kmuddy,
kmuddy: error while loading shared libraries: libslang-utf8.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
When I install the program it states that this is a dependency and it has no location for it to load so i skipped it , after install I went online and found it myself and installed it and now I get this error, please help, I've been wanting to use this software for some time now.

I take it that you are trying to use the binary package, right ? Depending on
which distribution you use, you need the slang package - it could be called
differenly depending on the distro (slang, slang1, libslang1, or something
similar).
Hope this helps.

Oh, I see. SuSE 10.2 is coming with a new version of the slang library, it
seems, and the way packages are made, both versions cannot co-exist. I have
recently upgraded my system to 10.2, so I'll be uploading a package for 10.2
soon.

Well slang is included on the SuSE installation CDs/DVD.

Or, you can just copy the attached file to /usr/lib.
